Campaign: "Netflix Origins"

The Challenge

Since UK audiences tend to limit themselves to only selecting English language content that confirms their own culture, ideologies, and language. Therefore, the goal is to encourage them to watch foreign language content.

Consumer Insight

Netflix is used by people as a way to learn about other cultures and ideologies, as well as to get to know themselves a little bit better. Since people are always looking for their identity, it is used as a way to feel identified and belong somewhere.

Solution / Main Message

We are providing the audience with the opportunity to find out about their heritage and origins by giving them a new Netflix section. Here, they can upload their photo and find out about the percentages of their background and ethnicity according to their physical characteristics. In addition, they will discover a selection of television shows and movies from the countries that match their results. This will enable them to get to know their ancestors and origins more deeply and will encourage them to see foreign content.
